Ο θρυλικός παίκτης και προπονητής του Ολυμπιακού απεβίωσε την Τρίτη (23/6) σε ηλικία 81 ετών λόγω ανακοπής καρδιάς , με τον Γιώργο Μπόγρη να στέλνει και αυτός με την σειρά του, το δικό του «αντίο» στον Νίκο Αλέφαντο, μετά την ΚΑΕ Ολυμπιακός και τον Γιώργο Πρίντεζη.
Ο σέντερ της Τενερίφης έστειλε μέσω twitter τα συλλυπητήρια του, γράφοντας: «Καλό ταξίδι άρχοντα! Γνήσιος, λαϊκός και ωραίος. Θα λείψεις RIP».
