Συγκεκριμένα, κόσμος συγκρούστηκε με την τουρκική αστυνομία, η οποία, λίγο νωρίτερα, είχε απαγορεύσει την είσοδο σε δεκάδες φίλους του Παναθηναϊκού, οι οποίοι είχαν αγοράσει μεμονωμένα εισιτήρια της αναμέτρησης.
