Όπως ενημέρωσε η ομάδα της Τενερίφης , ο έμπειρος σέντερ υπέστη κάταγμα σε ένα πλευρό και επομένως θα χάσει το υπόλοιπο της σεζόν.
Την φετινή σεζόν ο Σερμαντίνι είχε 12 πόντους, 2.2 ριμπάουντ και 1.4 ασίστ μέσο όρο σε 23 λεπτά συμμετοχής στο ισπανικό πρωτάθλημα.
